Rs. 9.1 bn approved for National Health Insurance program
ISLAMABAD — Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved Rs 9.1 billion for National Health Insurance program on Monday. More than 10 million people will benefit from the program in the first phase.
PM Nawaz presided a meeting of National Health Insurance program in the capital. Federal Minister for Health Saira Afzal Tarrar briefed the PM.
During briefing, she told the PM that Health insurance for poor families will be provided free of charge under the program. The first phase of the program will begin in December 2015. More than a million people will benefit from the first phase of the program.
