Manchester United and AON launch Insurance Card in Pakistan

It is the first insurance affinity programme to be launch by Aon and United in the Asian country where almost 4.5 million people follow the Old Trafford club.

Manchester United and Aon has launched their first complimentary personal accident cover in Pakistan.

The ‘United We Go Higher’ accident cover scheme will see an Aon and Manchester United branded insurance card sent to all consumers that purchase a new Haier smartphone.

Manchester United Group Managing Director Richard Arnold said: “Pakistan is a great sporting country and football is becoming more and more popular amongst the country’s young generation.

“It is an important market for Manchester United, one we wish to explore further, and we are proud to already have close to 4.5 million followers in Pakistan. With the help of our longstanding partner, Aon, we hope to further engage with these fans through the excellent insurance products being offered.”

To celebrate the launch, Aon will automatically be entering recipients of the complimentary insurance into a prize draw to win Manchester United prizes and experiences.

These include team training kits and Manchester United merchandise, as well as the chance to win a trip to the Aon Training Complex in Manchester, to watch United’s first team train.

Fans in Pakistan can enjoy a series of activities including matchday screenings, interactive games, and local initiatives with schools, colleges and universities.

Khurram Alikhan, chief executive at Aon Pakistan, said: “We’re delighted to be launching our first Personal Accident cover with Manchester United in Pakistan.

“Leveraging our global partnership with Manchester United, ‘United We Go Higher’ creates a unique opportunity for fans to win a number of coveted prizes including a trip to Manchester and the chance to meet their favourite players.”
